As I said before, this isn’t about going to a gym or even using the services of someone like myself as a personal trainer. That downward trend starts at about thirty years old. Our bodies have an up and down for health and vitality. Those of you who are younger, please don’t think you have plenty of time. If you are my age (50+) and haven’t actively done something to help yourself, your quality of life has probably diminished a little from your younger years. If you’ve hit your forties, you know what I’m talking about. These movements get harder and harder as we get older. Movements such as a hip hinge (bending over) or a squat (getting down to play with the grand kid). The movements we use every day to live without even thinking about it. I’m talking about our functional movement. Although I’m a fitness expert, I’m not talking about exercising or going to a gym. Movement is everything in life, without it we wither. So, what is the meaning behind Health in Motion? Simply put, staying in motion is how you stay in health. That is why I decided to use it as the name of my blog. Still, as I said earlier, Health in Motion has a lot of meaning behind it. They were probably right, and I had worked under the name Meridian Wellness several years before as a Reflexologist. When I was obtaining my massage license and starting to plan the expansion into a wellness center, I was informed by a few people that Health in Motion didn’t convey the full message of a wellness center. I started this company offering corrective exercise and fitness services as a personal trainer under that name. It was also the original name of the company. Health in Motion has a lot of meaning behind it. Welcome to the new Meridian Wellness Center blog! Why did we choose the name Health in Motion for our blog instead of just calling it Meridian Wellness? Good Question!
